New Office Space at Retro Lodge

Well, I’ve done it! I’ve found a wonderful new office space at the super-hip Retro Lodge in downtown Sacramento. We’ll be in The Astro building right next to TwinSoup and across the way from the new Naked Coffee location (in The Elroy). It’s a great space and a great location but what’s really exciting is that Pink Sparks Media is joining a community of creative and interesting entrepreneurs.

I’m looking forward to the business getting set up in the next two weeks. Afterwards, we’ll have a “new space” party to break it in and meet all the neighbors.

I’m also happy to announce that Pink Sparks Media will be working with Heller Pacific to design and develop the new Retro Lodge website. The site should be very sexy and showcase exactly how cool this office space is.

 1. What were you doing 10 years ago?

I had been married for 2 years and was just pregnant with my first child. Freaking. Nervous. Working and going to school. Tired, tired, tired.

2. Five items on your to-do list today.

Launch 3 websites! Clean the house. Play with the kids.  Find an accountant. Make some lists.

3. Snacks I enjoy:

wine, sour cream + cheddar potato chips, green olives, cashews

4. What would you do if you were a billionaire?

pay off my house, buy a new one, buy a home for my mom and sister, set up education funds for the kids, purchase an office building for Pink Sparks, hire a fitness trainer and chef, make a large donation to Make a Wish Foundation

5. Places I would live?  

Paris, France, Italy, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Sacramento

Kim and Cam, at last!

The alliance that Kim and I have formed is a great one. She’s an incredible graphic designer/illustrator and I’m a talented and incredibly charming web designer ;). We compliment each other’s skills and that makes for some great client projects. But Kim is located in San Francisco and I’m in Sacramento and up until last Saturday at the Ladies Who

Launch Los Angeles LIVE event, we hadn’t met in person. We talk almost every day via email or phone but no face-to-face. So it was a pleasure to finally chat and laugh in person. Here’s a pic of us on the Dermalogica patio:

The event was a big success. We met a TON of wonderful businesswomen and I’m sure we’ll be working with several of them soon.

New Logo!

I’m pleased to announce we have a new logo! Our old logo was too long and didn’t properly represent our modern yet feminine style. We also wanted something that expressed our sense of humor and told a bit of a story with the tagline. The old logo didn’t fit properly on marketing materials as well. So here we have our snazzy new look. The words are the actual sparks - soooooo clever!

Ladies Who Launch LA LIVE

I’m totally excited to announce that we’ll be at the Ladies Who Launch LIVE event in Los Angeles on May 31st. We’ll have a booth with all kinds of giveaway goodies so be sure to stop by. We’ll also be flaunting our fabulous new twin Mac laptops while they display our snazzy new multimedia presentation.
